The Collegiate Journalist of the Year award honors journalists who have contributed the most to their staffs and collegiate journalism in Kansas. The winner in each category receives a $250 cash prize and a plaque. The first runners-up receive $100 and a certificate; second runners-up receive $50 and a certificate. The following recipients were announced during the 2015 KCM Spring Conference.
